Recommended Places to Visit

  • Brown & Forrest Smokery - Family run Smokery, in Hambridge, which overlooks a peaceful corner of the beautiful Somerset Levels.
  • Burrow Hill Cider - Pass Vale Farm, Burrow Hill, Kingsbury Episcopi, Martock, Somerset.  Visitors are welcome to view the copper stills.  In the ciderhouse there is cider and Cider Brandy to sample.
  • Coleridge Cottage - The home of Samuel Taylor Coleridge for three years.  It was here that he wrote The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, part of Christabel and Frost at Midnight.
  • John Leach Muchelney Pottery - 2m south of Langport, Somerset.  JOHN LEACH, eldest grandson of Bernard Leach and son of David Leach, continues the family tradition in a restored 16th century thatch-roofed farm building on the edge of the ancient village of Muchelney ("the great island"), a mediaeval settlement on the unique watery landscape of the Somerset Levels.
